How we handle merchant, account, and payment-related information at Auripeak Pay.

At Auripeak Pay, we help Nigerian businesses receive payments online in a way that feels simpler, cleaner, and easier to manage. When you use our service, you trust us with business information, account details, transaction references, and payment-related records. We take that responsibility seriously.

Auripeak Pay is built around merchant onboarding, payment links, hosted checkout, payment tracking, dashboard visibility, and internal operational review. In the current version of the product, we do not run a wallet, hold customer balances, or store customer funds.

When you create a merchant account, we may collect details such as your business name, trading name, email address, phone number, payout bank details.

When a payment is created or completed through Auripeak Pay, we may collect details such as the order reference, Paystack reference, amount, currency, payment status, payment channel, customer email, customer name where available, and any metadata needed to initialize, verify, support, or record the transaction.

We may also collect technical and operational information such as IP address, browser or device details, login activity, audit logs, support history, and system error logs where needed to secure the platform, investigate issues, and improve reliability.

We use the information we collect to operate Auripeak Pay properly, including to:

• create and manage merchant accounts
• verify and maintain payout bank details
• configure merchant payment setups and related records
• initialize and verify transactions
• show payment activity and transaction history in the dashboard
• support merchants when onboarding or payment issues arise
• detect misuse, suspicious activity, or operational failure
• maintain audit trails for internal administrative actions

Auripeak Pay provides the merchant-facing layer of the payment experience. That includes onboarding, payment setup, payment links, checkout access, transaction visibility, dashboard reporting, and internal support operations.

Payment collection and checkout processing are handled through Paystack underneath our product flow. This means some payment details required for checkout, verification, and settlement may also be processed by Paystack under its own systems and policies.

We do not operate Auripeak Pay as a wallet product in the current MVP. We do not hold customer funds before settlement. We do not provide peer-to-peer transfers, stored-value balances, or direct bank-rail products in this current product version.

We may share information only where needed to operate the service responsibly, including:

• with Paystack, where payment setup, transaction initialization, verification, and settlement-related processing require it
• with service providers that help us host, secure, maintain, or support the platform
• with regulators, law enforcement, or authorized parties where disclosure is required by law or needed to protect the platform, our merchants, or the public
• within our internal operations team where access is needed for merchant approval, support, risk review, webhook recovery, or audit purposes

We do not sell personal information.

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain transaction records, support merchants, investigate disputes, enforce our terms, comply with legal obligations, and preserve security and audit history.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational measures to protect the information entrusted to us. No online service can promise absolute security, but payments infrastructure requires discipline, traceability, and controlled access, and that standard shapes how we approach Auripeak Pay.

If you are a merchant and you need us to update business profile details, support information, or account records, you may contact us. If you believe any information we hold is inaccurate, you may ask us to correct it.

In some cases, we may still need to keep certain records for fraud prevention, accounting, operational, compliance, or legal reasons even after account changes or closure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Auripeak Pay evolves. When we do, we will publish the updated version here and revise the effective date at the top of this page.
